east.finance is a lending platform, where you can borrow the algoritmic stable coin $EAST. The east.finance platform is based on SafeFi principles — it’s the new concept, which solves the problems of traditional DeFi, such as opaque, shady profit models, insecurity and inaccessibility of collaterals: a substantial collateral ratio is required to issue $EAST, which varies based on the chosen collateral ($BTC, $ETH, $WAVES or $WEST) and guarantees an initial overcollateralization. Furthermore, transparent stability fee and vault liquidation mechanisms are employed to maintain the stability of EAST. Further details on these mechanisms can be found in the white paper.
Earning with $EAST
The east.finance platform offers a range of potential strategies for earning, including:
- pool investments where $EAST pairs can be invested in the $WEST/$EAST pool on WX Network
- trading with leverage by issuing $EAST for $WAVES and swapping it for more $WAVES at the market,
- short positions of $EAST collateral where $EAST can be minted for one collateral and swapped for another that is expected to decrease in value
It's important to note that these strategies carry varying levels of risk and require a thorough understanding of the $EAST protocol and market conditions, and it's recommended to do your own research and consult with a financial advisor before engaging in any investment strategies.
Issuing $EAST
After connecting to the dapp
- You issue $EAST by providing a collateral: $WAVES, $BTC, $ETH or $WEST
- A vault (borrow position) is created immediately with a certain Backing Ratio (BR) and Liquidation Ratio (LR). You can supply more collateral to increase your BR or you can remove some extra-collateral (but so reducing your BR)
- You can use the minted $EAST to apply the above suggested strategies or you can stake your $EAST for passive income (70% of staking fees).
- By having an active $EAST positions you will receive $ORIENT tokens on a regular basis. You can stack $ORIENT tokens as well and receive 30% of staking fees.
